What does “Muime” mean?
You will notice in these posts that Little A calls me "muime". That's a word from Old Irish, originally meaning foster mother, and later stepmother, godmother, nurse or anyone else in a motherly role who is not your biological mother. It's what my now ex-wife and I decided our kids should call me to avoid the confusion of calling us both mom. It's pronounced "mwee-va", more or less.
